Registering for the Conference Online
Online registration is easy and fast. You can pay in U.S. dollars using your charge card via PayPal. Or you can register online and choose to mail your check or money order (US$), using the check confirmation page that summarizes your fees.

Registering for the Conference by Mail
If you prefer to register by mail, please download the form. If you are registering for two people, be sure to make a copy of the form beforehand. Only one person may register per form.

Our host hotel is the Hyatt Regency in Bethesda, Maryland. You can read more details about the APH group rate of $119 on the Hotel & Travel Information page. You must make your own hotel reservations–they are not included in the conference registration process. Be sure to book your room before the hotel reservations cutoff date, October 11, 2013.
Partner/Guest InformationRegistrants can bring guests (spouse, partner, friend, or family member) who are not participating in the conference to meals or social events at the listed rates. Please check the "Guest box" on the registration form and add the name of your guest(s), along with any food constraints. Applicable fees will be included in the final amount due.
Note: Those wishing to attend any program sessions must register separately as a conference attendee.
Cancellation & Refund PolicyA fee of $100 will be deducted from the refund total if a full-time registration is cancelled on or before October 11. Cancellations of a one-day registration will incur a $50 penalty. As of October 11, our hotel commitments are binding and no refunds are possible.
Join APH, Then Register at Member Rates and SaveAPH offers three membership options for new members: Full Membership annual dues $200; Associate Membership annual dues $150; Introductory Membership annual dues $125. Read about APH member benefits. You can take advantage of a full year of membership and lower registration rates. We encourage those new to the conference to join APH prior to registering. Very shortly after you pay for your membership, you will receive a welcome email confirming that your membership has been activated. At that point, you can register and get the discounted member rates.
Starting and Succeeding with Your Own Personal History Business presented by Stephanie Kadel Taras or Listen Up! The Art of Interviewing for Story presented by Paula Stahel. Enrollment is limited, and fees are discounted during Early Registration (July 1-31).
No later than October 1, please email your photo to cj Madigan, our Conference Photo Directory designer. Your photo should be 300 dpi .tif or high-resolution .jpg (minimum 2 by 3-inch portrait-style headshot, B/W or color). For the filename, please use this format: lastname-firstname-2013-orig.jpg or you can send us a file with a .tif extension (e.g., madigan-cj-2013-orig.tif). Please note that the preferred format is all lower case. You'll be glad you participated when you see how useful the photo directory is. As you meet new people at the conference, you can put a face with a name and make notes—"talked with Sue at lunch about new digital recorders"—that help you remember everyone you met. Even after the conference, the directory remains useful to jog your memory about participants on LISTSERV. A bit of warning: if we don't receive your photo, we'll substitute a rather boring silhouette for your smiling face.
