    SUMMARY: Oceanographer and Scientist, Dr. Joe MacInnis, and his crew, aboard a Russian MIR, re-discovered the Titanic in 1985. Ryerson University acquired raw and edited footage of the underwater expedition in 2005. In 2012, in time for the 100-year anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, Ryerson Special Collections hired APH member, Taylor Whitney and her company, Preserving The Past, to digitize the raw and edited footage originally shot on 3/4" U-matic and Betacam SP videotape. PTP partnered with a company in Burbank, CA to offer SD to broadcast quality HD footage.   Column/Show
